Quran Summer Course Information:

  • Student Age: 6 years and up.
  • Location: The Islamic Center of Morris County
  • Instructors: Sheikh Youssef Maaty and staff.
  • Date: July 15, 2024 to August 23, 2024
  • Time: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM.

Terms and Conditions

  1. Absence Policy: Parents/Guardians are to report the absence of their child to an administrator; all students are expected to attend class. Excessive absence may result in failure of the course; all tuition paid is nonrefundable. Late or tardy arrivals may affect performance and grades.
  2. Behavior Rules: All course rules must always be adhered to. If child cannot adhere to classroom rules after three repeated warnings, then he/she might be dismissed from the class.
  3. Dress Code: Proper Islamic dress code is required.
  4. Children Safety: Children must be accompanied by parent/guardian to the inside of the center upon drop off. Children must be picked up inside the center after classes.
    No dropping off or picking up children in the parking lot.
  5. Course Fees: must be paid in full according to payment plan.
  6. Lunch: must be provided by parent/guardian. Snacks will be provided by staff.

Course Prerequisites:

The following prerequisites must be met before acceptance:

  • Student must be able to diligently dedicate extensive hours memorizing the Quran during and after course hours.
  • Student must pass the interview with the Sheikh, in which his level of reading from the Quran will be determined.
  • Parents will be notified of the interview date after registering.

Progress Report:

  • The Sheikh will provide a student report detailing student’s progress.
  • The student’s report will be provided in person to the parent/guardian on weekly basis at the center.
  • Certificate of Completion is provided at the end of the course.

Summary of Daily Course Schedule

  • Each student will work with the instructor based on the student’s level.
  • Learn/memorize three new pages and review up to 10 pages daily.
  • The student memorizes one to three new pages with the instructor.
  • The student reviews the recent past up to five memorized pages with the instructor.
  • The student reviews the distant past up to five memorized pages with the instructor.
  • Fridays will be dedicated for review.
